Abstract:
In the wave theory, the speed of light is determined by the properties of the medium and does not depend on the movement of the source, and therefore the Doppler effect determines changes in frequency when the source moves and when the receiver moves by two d I f f e r e n t formulas.
The article shows that the ethereal Doppler effect is erroneous because it assumes that light travels through a medium in the same way that sound travels through air or water. An effect extended to the ballistic hypothesis is proposed, according to which when the light source moves, the frequency is determined by the same formula as when the receiver moves.
Extending the effect to the ballistic hypothesis allows us to consistently explain all known optical phenomena and prove that the cosmological redshift occurs without the recession of galaxies
