Abstract:
The notions of “Length Contraction” and “Time Dilation” exploit events which are posited as being possible, theoretically, to be “observed”. This is a typical property of modern physics, whereby this kind of ‘observing’ is undefined. Unlike these ‘thought experiments’ of Relativity, the theoretically-possible situation which follows does allow for practical observations to be made, which deny any changes in length and time for objects attaining speeds near that of light.
