Abstract:
This article aims to demonstrate that the vacuum is not an empty space
and, on the contrary, it is a space of high density energy. We will calculate the
mechanical and electromagnetic properties of the vacuum and demonstrate that
transverse waves, like electromagnetic, need a high density medium to propagate light
with velocity c≈3∗10^8 m/s . This is the substratum, medium or Luminiferous Æther
where the electromagnetic waves travel in.
