Abstract:
The purpose for writing this paper is to provide a comprehensive theoretical physical model describing the nature of sideband (S/B) generation. Present theories describe how sidebands behave but they don’t provide a physical mechanism that explains how and why they are generated. Sideband generation begins with the generation of Instantaneous Power (IP) signals. These signals are normally formed in AC capacitive circuits but they can also be formed in non capacitive circuits because conduction electrons behave as if the wire in the circuit itself has the capacitive properties that are involved in the generation of IP signals. These signals contain (+) and (-) pulses that are the driving force, when they interact with a carrier signal, in the generation of sidebands. Mixing is the process of combing a modulator and carrier signal to produce sidebands. Sideband generation is the manifestation, at the electron level, of a Doppler Effect.
