Abstract:
The concept of relativistic mass-energy increase with motion emerged soon after the discovery of the observed change in the charge to mass ratio of high velocity electrons in early cathode-ray tubes experiments. Because of the minute changes in mass involved, no other such experiments substantiated such evidence with heavier bodies other than those of atomic sizes. In Einstein's Special Relativity, SR, it is claimed that the mass of a body, and effectively its energy content, increases physically as a function of frame relative velocity. Therefore, the energy content is not single valued for a body such as an electron and is indeterminate. It is demonstrated in this paper that the above conclusion was misconstrued and is in violation of the very principle of conservation of mass and energy.
