Abstract:
Over the past century, relativity theories have led the way in seeking an explanation for
gravitation, being both sophisticated and fascinating. In this milieu, non-relativistic explanations that had previously been actively pursued are regarded merely for their historic interest. The following paper reviews some of these historical classical theories and addresses considerations such as the enigmatic high speed of gravitational messages and the possibility of universal pressure in explaining both the strong and the weak forces. In the author’s view, the challenge to work on a theory in classical physics and Euclidean space is warranted. This paper may be a small step forward in developing a non-relativistic theory of gravitation.
